Breast cancer is the second leading cause of death in women. In the state of Washington, the American Cancer Society estimates for 2007, 4090 new cases will be identified. Within this number it is estimated 770 women will die as a result of breast cancer and complications. Early detection and treatment are critical to improving your long-term prognosis. One percent of men will be diagnosis with breast cancer.
Early Detection:
There are three ways to stay active in your breast care:
1) Monthly self-breast examination.
2) See your medical provider annually for a complete physical and breast checkup.
3) Have a Mammogram.

Capital Medical Center has a brand new mammography suite, Capital Mammography. We encourage appointments, but walk-ins are always welcome.
Women can drop by anytime to have their mammogram done.
