Sign On and Referral Bonus Programs

Eligible Rn’s could receive a $5,000 sign-on bonus, payable in two $2,500 increments. $2,500.00 sign-on bonus upon completion of orientation and training by your department if you have satisfactory performance and attendance. Then an additional $2,500.00 at the completion of one (1) year of fulltime employment if you receive a satisfactory performance appraisal, have no loss of required certifications or licenses, and you have no other negative counseling or other disciplinary actions. Payments are taxable compensation. Employees failing to fulfill a 2 year full-time working commitment are required to reimburse CMC within 3 months of their termination.

Nurse Extern Program at Capital Medical Center

CMC is pleased to announce an excellent opportunity for senior nursing students who want to participate in a work-study program. Nurse externs may obtain hands-on experience working with an RN preceptor on an assigned unit. Students may also rotate through other nursing departments to enhance their learning experience.

Eligibility

Senior student in good standing currently enrolled in an RN program.

Completed and passed fundamentals of nursing course and one patient care clinical rotation. Minimum GPA of 2.0 in nursing course work.

Medical, Dental, and Vision

  • Full-time and part-time with benefits employees eligible
  • Benefit begins on the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment
  • Comprehensive plan for you and your eligible dependents
  • Prescription coverage included under medical plan
  • Premiums deducted pre-tax

Life Insurance

  • Full-time and part-time with benefits employees eligible
  • Benefit begins on the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment
  • Basic Life and AD&D equal to one times base annual salary provided at no cost to full-time employees
  • Supplemental life insurance for employee, spouse, and children available for purchase

Short Term and Long Term Disability

  • Full-time and part-time with benefits employees eligible
  • Benefit begins on the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment

Flexible Spending Accounts – Health Care and Dependent Care

  • Pay for out-of-pocket health care and dependent care expenses with tax-free dollars
  • Participate in either or both FSAs
  • Contribute up to $5000 per year
  • Receive reimbursement for expenses not fully covered by the medical, pharmacy, dental, or vision plans (deductibles, co-pays, hearing aids, over the counter drugs)

401(k) Plan

  • All employees are eligible
  • Eligible to participate the 1st of the month following six (6) months of employment
  • Individual pre-tax retirement savings
  • Capella matches the first 2% of pay that you contribute dollar-for-dollar, and makes a 25% match on the next 4% you contribute
  • Contribute at least 6% to receive the maximum company match

Employee Assistance Plan

  • Available to all employees at no cost
  • Confidential counseling to help with personal issues for you or your dependents
  • Assistance with personal, financial, work-life, and legal issues
  • Counselors available 24/7

Paid Time Off (PTO)

  • Full-time and part-time with benefits employees eligible
  • Accrual begins upon hire and is available to use after 90 days of employment
  • Paid time off for vacations, personal use, holidays, and the first 40 consecutive hours of personal illness or injury. Any PTO remaining at the end of the year carries over to the next year.
  • Full-time employees may accrue up to 22 days (176 hours) during their first through fifth year of service. PTO increases incrementally each year to a maximum of 32 days per year.
  • Part-time employees accrue based on hours worked

Extended Illness Leave

  • Full-time employees eligible
  • Accrual begins upon hire and is available to use after six months of employment
  • Use for paid time off for personal illness or injury lasting more than 40 consecutive hours
  • Extended illness accrues at 3.692 hours per pay period up to a maximum of 600 hours

Cafeteria

  • Available to all employees
  • Employee discount on purchases
  • Meals may be charged and deducted from your paycheck

Parking

  • Free, well-lit, fenced, security-patrolled and monitored
  • Adjacent to the Medical Center

Employee Health Services

  • Full-time on site RN
  • Free and reduced cost immunizations (Influenza, Hep B, Hep A, etc.)
  • Basic Health Screening
