Dr. Robert Hipp received his medical training at Columbia and Union Universities in New York. He spent one year in Vietnam and then completed his surgery residency at Virginia Mason in Seattle. In 1973, Dr. Robert Hipp began his Olympia medical practice in vascular and thoracic surgery. He became a partner in South Sound Surgical Associates in 1997. Dr. Hipp currently serves as the physician advisor and chair of the Quality Improvement Council and the Physician Leadership Group at Capital Medical Center. Dr. Hipp and his wife Diane volunteer at Kitten Rescue, a non-profit rescue and adoption organization for cats.
