Kevin J. Ekar has been the senior vice president and business lending officer for Heritage Bank since 1999. He has been in the banking industry since 1976, having worked as a bank officer and business lender for two other community banks prior to assuming his role at Heritage Bank. As a longtime resident of Thurston County, he has been very active in the community serving on many community boards. He has served on the board at Capital Medical Center since 1992, having held both the Chair and Vice Chair positions. Since 1987 he has served on the Thurston County Economic Development Council. He was the president from 2003 through 2004 and currently serves as Secretary and Treasurer. He was the President of the Lacey Chamber of Commerce in 1990. Kevin is also an owner in a real estate development company that builds and leases concrete tilt warehouses. Kevin and his wife Kathy have one daughter and granddaughter that live in Thurston County.
