David Deitz, MD, is board certified in both general and vascular surgery and has practiced medicine in Olympia since 1988. In 1998, he became co-founder of and is currently a partner in South Sound Surgical Associates. He has served in many roles at Capital Medical Center to include Chief of Surgery and Chair of Quality Committee. Currently, he serves as Medical Director for the hospital’s Noninvasive Vascular Lab and as Credentials Committee Chairman, roles he has filled since 1988 and 1998 respectively. He is a member of the Society for Vascular Surgery, Pacific Northwest Vascular Society, Washington State Medical Association, and Thurston-Mason Medical Society. He is married to Diane, an Olympia native. The youngest of their 4 children, Koby, was born at Capital Medical Center in 1994 and their first grandchild, Zoe, was born at Capital Medical Center in 2009.
