In 1997, Clyde Carpenter, M.D., joined Olympia Orthopaedic Associates and began the Spine Surgery Program at Capital Medical Center. Prior to private practice, he served on the teaching staff in the orthopaedic department at Madigan Army Medical Center. Capital Medical Center’s spinal fusion program has received 5-star ratings from HealthGrades for 8 consecutive years. No other hospital in Washington has achieved this success. He is married and has three daughters, all of whom are married. He has four grandchildren.
