“It’s a boy,” announced Becky Means, Director of Women’s Services at Capital Medical Center. Joey Aniello Ferrentino was the first Capital Medical Center baby of 2012. He was born at 4:35 a.m. Jan.1 to Heather and Anthony Ferrentino of Chehalis.
Capital Medical Center opened its maternity services in October 1990. The nine private birthing suites allow for labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum to occur in one room with a bedroom-like atmosphere, and state of the art equipment. “The department also has its own surgery suite on the same floor, if needed,” said Becky Means.
Heather and Joey will go home with a large basket of mom & baby gifts and a $500 savings bond courtesy of the hospital.
