REBECCA MEANS APPOINTED AS DIRECTOR OF WOMEN’S SERVICES
Capital Medical Center is pleased to announce that Rebecca Means has recently accepted the position of Director of Women’s Services. Means, who recently moved to Olympia from the Tacoma area, was previously employed by Swedish Medical Center in Seattle. She has spent her entire professional career at Swedish having spent the last twenty-eight years in nursing with the past six in management.
Means received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington and her Masters in Business Administration from Western Governors University in Utah. She is certified in inpatient obstetrics and is a member of the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses, the American Organization of Nurse Executives, and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement. Means has also been active in March of Dimes, an organization whose mission is to improve the health of babies.
Interim Chief Nursing Officer, Cynthia Lewis commented, “Rebecca brings a wealth of clinical expertise and knowledge to her new position. We are delighted to have her at Capital Medical Center.”
