Capital Medical Center’s Relay for Life Team Reports Huge Success
July 19, 2010Capital Medical Center’s Relay for Life Team reports that this year’s event was a huge success. Capital Medical Center raised $16,906 to help fight cancer here in our community. Capital Medical Center’s Team was 2nd in overall fundraising at the Thurston County event, up from 3rd in 2009. The money that Capital Medical Center raised came from various fundraisers, silent auctions, drawings, and other events that the marketing department coordinates throughout the year. Renee Crotty, Director of Marketing and Public Relations, notes, “I’m really grateful for the support that we receive from hospital Administration, Capital Radiation Therapy and Dr. Randy Sorum, as well as our staff. The Relay is very important to us, and we are proud to be a part of such a noteworthy cause.”
